Description
Unit NCIR is a single-point infrared temperature sensor. It is equipped with the MLX90614 infrared sensor, which can measure the surface temperature of the human body or other objects.
Unlike most contact-type sensors, this sensor detects temperature by measuring the infrared light waves emitted by distant objects, without the need for physical contact. This allows it to have a wider temperature measurement range: -70°C to +380°C. With a field of view of 90°, it can conveniently and quickly measure the average temperature of a specific location.
This Unit connects to the MC4.0 via PORT A I2C (0x5A).
